Cinema chain Vue has launched its first campaign since selecting Hijinks as its lead creative agency. The agency was selected without a pitch process.
The campaign showcases the chain’s Ultra Lux seats, which were designed to bring luxury to cinemagoers.
The 45-second spot features a voiceover from Paddington in Peru actress Ella Dacres and highlights new features such as Italian leather upholstery, reclining back and footrests, a spacious side table and storage space for bags.
Music for the film was composed by James Radford.

The spot will be rolled out from today (10 January) in Swindon, Southport and Munich before a wider launch across cinemas in the UK and Europe.
It will also be rolled out online and across social media platforms.
According to Vue, the film was created entirely in CGI with the help of creative studio Daydreamer VFX.
Hijinks CEO and Co-founder, Alicia Iveson said: “Vue is a dream client, so becoming their agency of record is a massive thrill for Hijinks. We’ve really enjoyed making the inaugural film to promote the Ultra Lux seat.
“Every detail, from the dramatic camera movement and ethereal sound to the dynamic lighting were crafted to create the sense of the seat being an emotional roller coaster ride which transports you into the world of film. We’re looking forward to working with Vue to create more great work in the New Year.”
