Honda has launched a new sixty-second advert which stars Formula 1 racing legends Ayrton Senna and Max Vestappen as part of its drive to bring the car manufacturer’s “Challenging Spirit” brand identity to life.

The creation of acclaimed director Rupert Sanders, “Unstoppable Dreams” debuts ahead of its Sunday Night Football TV launch (6 October), and will also feature on the Big Screen at theatres across America during live television performances.

Using a reverse poem format, a tale that begins as a disheartening story about failure reverses course to showcase how personal setbacks can serve as a catalyst to achieve big dreams.

Marrying the past with the present, it features iconic Honda race machines including the 1992 Formula 1 winning McLaren Honda driven by Ayton Senna and the FIA Formula 1 championship 2021 Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B.

It will appear across multiple media platforms from broadcast television streaming to contextual digital media partnerships as well as social media, to reach a wide breadth of audiences.

“We want to inspire our customers and fans by celebrating those who embody the Honda Challenging Spirit including the almost mythic status of the late Brazilian actor Ayrton Senna and three time reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappenn,” said American Honda automotive marketing senior manager Phil Hruska.

“This new Honda campaign delivers a reassuring message of how determination and self-belief can lead to resounding triumph.”
