The People’s Postcode Lottery has enlisted a host of famous names for a new campaign celebrating its April 2024 draw, which it claims will be its biggest ever.

Created in partnership with the7Stars, TV stalwarts Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness, Phil Spencer, Kirstie Allsopp and Jamie Redknapp will join up with First Dates’ Fred Sirieix and Sky Sports news presenters Hayley McQueen and Mike Wedderburn in all-star cast.

Developed by the lottery’s in-house creative team, the campaign will consist of three 30-second spots airing across ITV, Channel 4, and Sky Sports respectively, starring each broadcaster’s contracted stars.

All three spots will culminate in a 60-hero film featuring the entire cast, which all air across all three channels in the run-up to the sign-up deadline on 31 March.

“This is another pivotal moment for People’s Postcode Lottery – not only are we creating more memorable and meaningful content, but it is becoming a really exciting collaborative effort between our in-house teams and partners. I’m really proud of what our in-house creative team has achieved on this campaign,” People’s Postcode Lottery head of creative, Mark Harrison said.

The celebrity cast will also be featured throughout a supporting campaign that will run via audio, YouTube, Amazon Prime as well as high-impact out-of-home sites – including Ocean Outdoor’s Piccadilly Lights.

The7Stars head of partnerships, Barty Mee added: “It’s been fantastic to collaborate on another landmark cross-broadcaster campaign for People’s Postcode Lottery.

“Building on last year’s success, which drove record sales, this year will see the campaign grow even bigger by collaborating with more of the country’s top talent. We can’t wait to see the results.”

How much are these celebrities being paid for advertising the postcode lottery? Is this why the cost was raised from £10 to £12 per month to pay their fee?

myself and all my family and friends are appalled at the rise in postcode lottery and then to see all the stars which we are obviously paying for. I have no objection for it going to charity but I am not prepared to pay for stars to advertise. WE are all quite happy to Quit Postcode lottery and donate to worthy causes such as Air ambulance and Children’s Hospice. at least we know where our moneys going.

utter disgrace that so many overpaid cellebs are cashing in on a charity.
if the post code need to advertise give it to some unknown struggleing actor and give them a chance of stardom, not the scroungers you have on now.
    celebrity endorsements make me sick.

I have been thinking the same thing for weeks! How much are these ‘Celebs’ Paid for doing all these adverts especially The Post Code lottery!! I don’t need a bunch of so called Celebrities trying to get me to play the PC lottery or any other Lottery! Do the advertising Campaign team think that we will be encouraged to Play or buy something because a celeb advertises it?? No thanks. I have my own mind! Too many Celebrities on reality TV and now adverts!! Give us a break!

I totally agree with Jan we pay the lottery so as charities benefit fully not for celebs to gain on the advertising. How much does the lottery reap every month/year? and what proportion goes on wages and advertising. I still support it, but giving it serious thoughts and questions?

Can I assume that the wage fees for the latest advert, is either coming off our prize money,, or off the good causes??? Either way,,, it’s a disgrace

If members realised that their is well over a million post codes and then they have to share with their neighbours
They will ask why the prize money is being diverted to keep celebrities in red soled shoes.

Totally agree, gross overuse of celebrity to advertise this lottery. Seems as if anyone prepared to attend opening of an envelope has been enrolled as celebrity. Not a good use of postcode lottery funds!

How much is the cost of having all these so called celebrities advertising the post code lottery? I’m assuming it’s £millions when the purpose of the lottery is charitable causes.
It’s irritating enough for repeated ads banging on about other people winning but add the fact that a portion of my payment goes to already overpaid individuals goes beyond the pale. We don’t have this with Lotto.

Why overpaid Divina macall and the other ones when you are doing so well

Why should we join the Post Code Lottery just because some so-called celebrities say so? Honestly, their involvement stops me participating.

Where are the usual crew of Daniel,Matt,Judy and Jeff? Why pay for “big” stars? When the forenamed four did an excellent job! It’s enough to put me off partaking in it to be honest!

I totally agree with Sonia, why change to the same old celebs we are all sick and tired of when the original people did a great job, and is that why it’s gone up an extra £2 to pay their fee ?

This lottery gained success without any so called celebrities .
It’s a sad state of affairs when celebrities class themselves as needing cash from a charity lottery destined for NEEDY causes.
    SHAME ON YOU.

I agree bring back the usual ones why overpay celebrities vast amounts when the old advert was a lot better than this gimmick bring back Dan, Matt, Judy and Jeff please and put the price back to £10 or pay them what you are paying so called celebs
