Tetley Tea has enlisted a series of comedians and actors to celebrate the brand as the ‘perfect partner’ for pausing and refocusing when distracted.
Showcased across radio and led by 5 notable TV stars, the adverts feature the sound of tea being made, to drown out the various frustrating, and often awkward, situations.
Joined by the likes of comedy actors, Mock the Weeks’ Hugh Dennis, Peepshow’s Paterson Joseph and Gavin & Stacy’s Julia Davis, the adverts conclude with ‘That’s better. That’s Tetley’.

To welcome Tetley Tea’s latest brand ambassador, Jill Scott, to the role – one advert also features Paterson Joseph playing the role of her agent.
As the listener hears him try and persuade her to get on board a new reality TV show called ‘Jungles for Goalposts’, the advert then hears him quietly reveal that he’s actually already signed her up.
In addition, beyond this radio campaign, Scott will be featuring in supporting campaign activity including media interviews, video assets and social content, and consumer competitions.

The sound of tea being slurped is actually much more obnoxious than what it is ‘distracting from’. (Google misophonia – which is a relatively common thing.)
